December 2011 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Hello all,

The Wilcox family has been doing well.  November has brought many changes.
We now have Kelly and Jilina living with us.  Our house has been very
active.  My kids LOVE having there aunt and cousin living with us and I love
having a "sister-wife" to help out with the cooking and cleaning!

Alexis and Brenton have been trying new things (i.e. Food, sports) that I
could never get them to do.  Amazing what peer pressure can do for kids.
(Note to self... Keep an eye on them!!!  Teen age years will be
interesting). Our most recent new adventure sent Alexis to the ER and
dentist.  Jilina is a GREAT softball player, unfortunately Alexis is not
since she has never played.  She ended up taking a softball to the face
while fielding a ground ball and ended up breaking a tooth and cutting her
face (four stitches).  She has decided to stick with swim team, a decision I
fully support.

Another fun thing this month... Seth is walking!  He is only 9 months old.
It is so cute seeing him waddle across the floor.  People are amazed when
they see him!  I'm sure more fun adventures are to come!

Love,
Tracy and family=

September 2011 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear family,

The Wilcox family is doing well.  School starts in three days... not that I'm counting.  Brenton's starting kindergarten and he's excited.

Seth is teething which has been miserable for  everyone involved, but he's still cute!!

I have been limping around because I tore a muscle in my calf but is healing fast.

Brenton also started soccer and Alexis is on swim team.  Alexis went to her first swim meet only 3 weeks after joining the team. I look forward to watching her improve.  She loves it!  Brenton has his first game today.  Should be a blast!

Love,
Tracy

 Go Brenton go!
Ready, Set.....Alexis!

June 2011 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear Family,

April has been a good month despite going back to work. I like being paid to stay home with the family, but all good things must come to an end. I was welcomed back to work with open arms and lots of work.

Easter was good (despite me having to work that day.) The Easter bunny left us lots of candy which was quickly disposed of. My husband and kids had a wonderful dinner at my sister-in-laws house, and I ate dinner at IKEA the Swedish way.

I have attached two of my favorite pictures, which were taken recently. The photographer did a great job, and I think I finally convinced my husband that the Sears portrait studio is just not good enough! There is no comparison to a real photographer in a real studio!

Much Love,

Tracy

March 2011 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear family,
February was a great month full of surprizes for the Wilcox family.  My dad turned 70 years old this month/year, and I decided to throw him a party.  To my surprize and excitement both of my sisters were able to attend.  As part of the celebration, we were all able to go to a temple endowment session with my dad.  It is the first time every child was able to be together and attend a session with my dad.  It was very special!  I hope it may happen again.

Seth is now 4 weeks old and he is still cute!  (And Aaron I still love him to death so here's to hoping he doesn't turn out like Adam ;).  The other kids have started swim lessons again and I am still on maternity leave, Yaaa!  It has been nice pretending to be a real "stay at home" mom.  We will see how long that lasts...

Much Love,
Tracy

PS.  These picutres are the ones taken at the hospital.  Seth is 1 day old here.

the third is posted as pic of the month.

February 2011 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

We're doing well this month and are hoping to have a baby very soon. I finally have the house in order and my last day of work is Saturday! He can finally come... that is after Saturday! I'm excited but a little scared! Some days I think "what am I doing going back to diapers and bottles!"

Best wishes for everyone!

Love,

The Wilcox family

p.s.

Dear Family,
We are pleased to announce the birth of our third and final child... Seth Daniel Wilcox.  He was born Feb 2, 2011...aka Groundhog's Day!  He was 8 lbs 9 oz and 19 inches long.  It was an easy labor without any complications.   We are loving every moment with him and hope he will let us sleep soon!  I am way too old to be staying up all night with a baby!  Once he gets his days and nights figured out I'm pretty sure he will be perfect!

The Wilcox Family

December 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear Family,

This month has been a full month. We were blessed to be with many of you during the Thanksgiving Holiday, but also grieved the loss of my step-father Rick Bos. He was a great man that loved my mother. We will dearly miss him and can't wait to see him again, as a whole man! Thank you all who were able to attend his funeral and support my mom and family during this hard time!

As for my pregnancy... all I can say is I am terribly jealous of my cousin Alexis who finally gave birth this month! Averie is a beautiful girl! It was nice to greet a new life! I am 30 weeks along and can't wait for it all to be over! But alas, I have at least 8 more weeks of "waddling and grunting".

We wish the best to you all and a very Merry Christmas this holiday season!

Love,

The Wilcox Family

August 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear Family,

By now most, if not all of you know that I am expecting my third child. It has been long overdue, but it really did take me four years to get the courage up again. I am expecting anytime now to stop being scared and start being excited! (No really, we are excited.) It has been a bit rougher this time around. I have been so sick, but thanks to some strong medicine and some tips from Torrie, I think I have it under control now. Alexis wants a girl and Brenton a boy. We'll find out in about 7 more weeks. I am confused about what I could be having because I am so sick (like I was with Alexis), but I am not emotional like (I was with Brenton). So maybe if it is a girl she won't cry at the drop of a hat... one can only hope!

Alexis was baptized this month, which was so exciting. It was very cool to see how excited she was! We had my mom and Todd's mom give the talks, (which were so great!) And the grandpa's were the witnesses. My mom also lead the music and basically ran the show for me! Thanks again mom! I love you! After the event we had every family member in town come over for a belated birthday lunch and baptism celebration.

It has been a good month and we have another exciting month to come. In August Kelly and Jilina are coming to visit! We can't wait!

Love,
Tracy

June 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & family

The Wilcox family is doing well. We had a fun time visiting Kimber and going to Disneyland. We are preparing this month for Alexis' 8th birthday. She is excited to get baptized! She recently got her ears pierced, which I am proud to say that she didn't cry! It is a wonder how she didn't because she is known for crying EVERYDAY over something! She is very sensitive! Case in point, we were watching the nature documentary "Life" and she started bawling when a baby seal was eaten by an Orca. She is still upset over it and will probably hate Killer whales for the rest of her life! Brenton just thought it was cool, typical boy. We also found out in the month of May that due to budget cuts in our school district our school is changing from year around to traditional. This is going to make April trips to California more tricky. Oh well!

Much Love,

The Wilcox Family

May 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

This month has been good for the Wilcox's. We had a good Easter filled with candy and family. Then Todd went on a trip to Indianapolis for work and the kids and I repainted Alexis' room. But the best part of this month has been the new washer and dryer we just bought. Who would have thought laundry could make a mom happy.
We are also about to go to Disneyland for 6 days!! I can't wait. Next month I'll have pictures!

The Wilcox Family

April 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

This last month the Wilcox family was able to go to Hawaii! Specifically Maui, on a last minute trip. We had a lot of fun, as can be expected. Brenton mastered the boogey board, it was so cute! We stayed in a house with our in-laws. And yes we were there for the tsunami... One thing that warning did was teach the locals to prepare! When we went to church many of them bore testimony of the importance to prepare and that they were going to start. Heavenly Father sure knows what he is doing!

Nothing else really this month. Work, school, work. Same old routine as many of you know yourselves. It's been a typical spring here in Utah. Yesterday it was 70 and today it is snowing. Crazy! Hope everyone is doing well!

January 2010 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

The Wilcox are hosting the Mercier and the Scott families this holiday, and we are having a blast. It has been a while since we have been able to be all together. Today, those who like skiing went to Brighton ski resort and had a blast. (I stayed home with Brenton.) Brenton and I did go pick up the kids so the adults could have a few hours of fun. We have the whole week planned to do fun things like shopping, ice skating, seeing temple lights, tubing, etc. Of course we are having to hit all the favorite restaurants that my sisters are deprived of living in their respective areas. Tonight is IN'N'Out, yesterday was Carl's Jr. and Cafe Rio. Tomorrow is Tucanos... yum! It is good to live in the state with the most restaurants per capita in America.

All the kids have had fun playing with each other. Alexis and Jilina are Guitar hero pros! Mimi showed Brenton how to play her Leapster and Brenton lets Mimi play his DS. Hopefully everything will continue to go well!

Much Love,

Tracy

December 2009 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Hello Family,

The Wilcox family greets everyone with a "Happy Holiday's"! We spent this Thanksgiving with the Wilcox side of the family. It was a lot of fun! The kids love to play with their cousins till the early hours of the morning. The kids were able to cut down their own Christmas trees (little ones) for their own bedrooms. They are excited to decorate them, since my white light Christmas tree is too boring for Alexis.

This month my dad moved out of our basement and into his own house. I am sure he misses the chaos of my house! But it is just in time for me to prepare the basement for my sister's visit this coming month. We cannot wait to see them and spend part of the Christmas holiday with them!

Hope all is well!

The Wilcox Family

November 2009 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

This month has come and gone quickly. Alexis and Brenton are off track until Nov 16th. My dad will be moving out soon and into his own house. Todd and I are doing well.

At the beginning of this month Todd took the kids to Lake Powell with his family. I had to work so I stayed home. They had a lot of fun and I had a quiet weekend. It was great. Brenton caught a fish, too (see the Picture of the Month).

Then we had a visit from Kimber and her family. They came to Utah for the TCU vs BYU game. We had fun despite the results of said game. It almost was a family reunion. We were just missing Kelly. We hope to see her soon!

September 2009 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

The Wilcox family are doing well. The kids finally started school so I am doing great too. Todd and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on the 25th. I am so grateful to have such a sweet husband.

My dad has been staying with us since his divorce. I am so glad we have been able to do this for him. He hopes to be in his new house in Provo by September. I am sure though he will be sad to leave my noisy house for a quiet one. :)

I have a new temple now. The Oquirreh Mountain temple was just dedicated. It was a great service that brought the cry baby out of me (not hard to do). We love and miss you all.

This is Brenton's favorite pose lately.

June 2009 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

It has been a long time since the Wilcox family has written anything. Recently our commuter car died (my college car that's about 14 years old). We had to break down and get a new one, and boy it's fun. The dash board isn't warped, it shifts and turns without giving me a workout, the back doors open from the outside, and the drivers seat belt isn't broken. Yaaa Honda Civic!

Anyhow, I have been fighting with an ear infection and sinus infection for a while now. Although I am feeling better on that end, the medicine that got me there, apparently I am allergic too. Big surprise for those who know my medical history. I am allergic to almost every form of antibiotic known to man. And the one that I am not allergic to no longer works for me. Oh well. I guess I would rather be itchy than in pain. I also fell down some stairs a few weeks ago and hit my head on our cement in the back yard and gave myself a concussion. Then 6 days later I fell down my front yard steps and hurt my elbow and knee. I am all bruised up, and I can't help but laugh at myself. I am going to blame it on the antibiotics.

The kids are doing well. Nothing big on that front. Todd did hurt his back again and was out of commission for a few days. But a few muscle relaxants later, and he is doing fine. He even got out of mowing the lawn for two weeks. Did I mention I mowed the lawn for the first time in 5 years... Hope all is well.

February 2009 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

I will catch you all up on the last few months since I keep forgetting to post. Anyhow, in November I hosted Thanksgiving at my house and had many people from both sides of the family come. It was a success and the food was great if I do say so myself. The funniest part of the evening was when we had an arm wrestling competition. I was the champ of the girls. We almost got the grandma's to arm wrestle (my mom and Todd's mom) but I think the grandpa's weren't to keen on the idea. (Especially Rick, he is very protective) It would have been hilarious, hello u-tube!

December was also eventful, as it should be. I went to get my lap band filled and was told my port was turned. Now since I had my surgery in Cancun, Mexico I was told no doctor's in the states would even look at me let alone help me. So I rallied up my sky miles and went back to Cancun by myself this time. When I got there I went straight to the hospital and the surgeons told me that the US fill doctor was wrong and that it wasn't turned. They filled my port and I returned to the states a little peeved!!! Christmas Eve came and we spent it at my mom's house and had a yummy dinner of which I could have close of zero of because I was filled to tightly. (Everything just comes back up) I kept hoping that it would get better with time. What really happened was my esophagus got inflamed and radiated pain through my neck and to my shoulder. It was quite horrible. So I went back to the fill doctor to have some of the fill removed. Thankfully with a little guidance from me he was able to do it. (finally) The pain is gone and I can actually keep my food done. But back to December...

We spent Christmas day with my in-laws in Jackson Wy. We almost didn't go because of a BIG snow storm, but Todd was confident he could get us there. We spent a few days there and took Alexis skiing for the first time. We almost got Brenton to go too but he changed his mind last minute (he must take after me.) It was a lot of fun!

Then on December 31 Brenton turned 3 years old. I finally threw him a birthday party with his friends. It was a lot of fun and Brenton sure enjoyed it. Thankfully Todd and my mom were there to help with all the little kids!

Now it is January and Brenton started preschool at the local elementary school. He gets to ride the bus (which makes Alexis very jealous!) It was a momentous day (and he was just so cute!) Now I am waiting for springtime.

Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

The Wilcox family is doing well. Not much to update. Halloween was fun! Alexis went as Hannah Montana and Brenton was a bat.

We got way too much candy, and my kids barely even care. I don't know where they came from. All I know is that I have to hide the candy from me!

Happy Holidays to come!

September 2008 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Todd and Tracy just got back from 6 days in Cancun while Grandma Kristy watched the kids. We had fun despite the HEAT and HUMIDITY! We visited the Aztec ruins (hotter than hell!) and went to a Xcaret which is their version of a water theme park It was fun, but not "Wet 'n Wild" fun. Overall we liked our trip, glad we did it, but once was enough. When we got back I found my house in immaculate condition! No problems had occurred and....Brenton is finally eating food thanks to my moms doing! Now to the Christiansen side of the family. You may be thinking sarcastically..."Great job, a near three year old is eating." I say this because on our side of the family our lives revolve around food. Some how though, I have given birth to two children who could care less about food. It is an after thought, as it may be for many of you. Anyhow, my milk bill will finally be going down a bit, yaaah, and food will go up, boooh. But I am very happy about it. I also want to tell my mom THANK YOU SO MUCH for watching them and cleaning my house! I love you!

Tracy

PS I had Lap band surgery and hopefully I will finally be losing some weight soon!

August 2008 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Dear Family,

I can't believe the month come and gone so quickly. Anyhow, Hotel Wilcox has a permanent resident for the month and my house has never been cleaner... can you guess who is staying? Yes, my mom! Kristy arrived on July 27th and will be staying with us till Aug 30. We hope to see as many of you as possible at my mom's wedding.

Also, the Hotel Wilcox expansion project is coming along well and should be done in two weeks or less. We are praying for less. But when it is all said and done we will have doubled our square footage! We have added two more bed rooms, one food storage room, a craft room, a bathroom, and a big family room. We just finished painting and had all the finished electrical put in. Todd just finished tiling the bathroom. Next will be the finishing the fireplace and laying carpet and putting in the toilet and bathroom vanity. Then I think we will be done!!!

Alexis has started first grade this year and is loving it. It is definitely weird not having her home during the day.

Brenton started speech therapy classes and I have already seen a great improvement. He will say please and more and thank you, I even heard him today trying to sing to Shrek 2. (Very Cute!) We are also trying to get him to work on eating more (or eating at all really). He would live off of milk if he could.

That's it from the Wilcox family!

July 2008 - Wilcox, Todd & Tracy & Family

Hello family,

It is official, Hotel Wilcox is officially under construction and should be done mid july! The expansion includes 3 rooms, a family room and a bathroom. Just in time to house my mom before the marriage and anyone else who needs a place to stay in SLC.

Alexis had her 6th birthday on the 27th. She finished kindergarten with flying colors winning every award possible at the school. Honor roll, principal's pride, and Leadership. I am so proud!

Brenton is doing well. His speech is not coming along, so we will be seeing a speech therapist to help him. Otherwise he is doing well.

I have been struggling a bit with anxiety and depression. I have always had this problem, but the anxiety has increased a bit. Hopefully I will find the right combination of drugs to help with the situation.

Todd has been doing well. He has been great trying to alleviate my anxiety issues. He is a very kind and understanding husband!

Till next time,

The Wilcox Family
