The Cannon, Adam family has been doing great. I figured I would submit something this month because it has been a while.

We are doing very well. Maja and Annika are excelling in school. Ava and Lilah are excelling in making a hugh mess at home. Erica is excelling in keeping us all alive and somewhat organized. I competed in a Tough Mudder last weekend in Temecula, Ca. You can look it up online at toughmudder.com and see what it is I did. Aaron went with me but I pretty much had to carry him the whole way.

September 2011 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello and Hi. 

I know it has been a long time since we posted.  I put all the blame on Maja.  I am usually safe that way.  Anyway, We have been doing fine and have been busy.  

During summer vacation, we went to Lake Tahoe for a couple of days and had lots of fun.  Painted some of the rooms in the house and tried to relax. 

 Summer is over and the girls are all back in school.  We learned Maja made it into GATE.  I think its for smart kids.  I was never in it, so I don't really know, you should ask my brother and two sisters, they can tell you more about it.  Annika is in 1st grade and loves it.  Maja is also learning how to play the piano.  I expect Annika is also in soccer again and played her first game last Saturday.  She did not score a goal so I don't have to fork over any money yet, but she almost did and that worries me.  I need to change my arrangement from paying her a dollar for every goal to something less attractive.  Ava is still very very sneaky and Lilah dances every chance she gets.  We did stop by Grandpa and made our annual visit to Sacramento.  We should be good for the rest of the year.  Hopefully Grandpa lasts that long...

January 2011 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

To whom it may concern.

The Cannon, Adam family. I can sum up our year the same way I can sum up December. The girls got everything they wanted for Christmas and I got a rotten potato. All of the decorations are down, toys forgotten, messes cleaned up but I still have that potato. Maybe next year will be better for me. I cant think of how it could get better for my spoild kids though.

December 2010 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello to all.

We made it through November. I can't remember any of the real details but we are still here, so I know we did make it. Lilah, age 1, started walking at 10 months. Ava, age 2, is very, very, sneaky. Annika is doing great in school. She is starting to read and learn stuff. I know because when I get home she quizzez me on the spelling of words like dog and cat. (I am not the one to ask spelling questions, she will learn this soon enough). Maja is got all A+s and one A on her report card. She was punished a little, but at least we have something to improve upon for the next reporting period. The lights are up on the house, the tree is decorated, but only from the middle of the tree up.

Not much to talk about this month. Summer vacation, so that means the girls go to swim, play, get dirty and make a mess alot. Other than that, we are all doing well.

July 2010 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello.
I can't seem to remember much about this month so I am going to talk about a few things and pretend like it all happened last month.
Lilah is a perfect baby. No crying, just smiles. Ava has gone from a crib to to a big girl bed. This has increased her level of sneakyness by alot and I am so proud of her. Annika graduated from pre-school and Maja was baptised. I have been waiting since 1996 when I left for Sweden, to baptise someone. I still work and Erica still runs the house.

March 2010 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

This month has been fine for us here in Fresno. Erica and the girls are doing fine. Maja and Annika are enrolled in a cooking class and we have the honor of trying to eat what they made on Thursday nights. Sometimes the magic works and sometimes it doesn't. Ava is still a stinker and she loves playing to part. I was part of a firefight on the 25th of this month. Some of you may have seen or heard about it on the news. We lost two, One Reedly PD Officer and one Fresno County Sheriff Deputy. We will be blessing Lilah on the 7th of March. I hope I don't mess up and try to bless her with the ability to walk on water, maybe just the ability to survive this crazy house. I am totally out numbered.

January 2010 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello.

This month has been good to us. Erica gave birth to our 4th girl, Lilah Cannon on 12-18-09 at 2113 hours. (that’s 9:13pm) 8 lbs, 20 inches. Ava wants to hold Lilah around the neck and carry her around the house as she does her dolls, Annika and Maja love being big, big, big sisters and Erica is doing fine.

Here is a story, this is a true story. Last year, while we were still residing in Los Angeles, I made an enforcement stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Valencia Blvd, west of The Old Road. I noticed the driver of the vehicle putting on his seatbelt after seeing me in my patrol vehicle watching him. I made a left side approach and contacted the driver through the open driver side door. I noticed both occupants of the suspect vehilce were wearing USC football T-shirts. I also knew USC played UCLA on this very night, the game had concluded only an hour prior, and it was very likely my occupants had consumed alcoholic beverages while watching the game. I asked the driver how much alcohol he had consumed and he stated "None, Sir. I don't drink." (I have arrested many a person claiming they don't drink, for drunk driving. Lying to the CHP is not a new concept and it is done very often, I would say 10.5 out of 10 contacts lie to me.) I then stated, "are you sure you weren't drinking while you were watching the game?" to which the driver replied, "No, Sir. Really, I don't drink." At this time the right front passenger, a white female adult leaned forward and said, "Brother Cannon, Erica is my visiting teacher. I was at your house yesterday. Don't you believe us?" Needless to say, I didn't write a ticket, nor make an arrest. I have had to work Sundays since I started this job. I wonder how many other members of my Ward family I have stopped and maybe even ticketed...

Now I get to have my Sundays off because I was put into a Special Enforcement Unit and those dudes get weekends off. I can now be active in church again. If I knew how to attach photos...I would. Maybe next month you can see my newest addition.

November 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello.

Fun month. We are still arguing over what we are going to name the next kid. Maja and Annika have decided this is now their house, and they are going to play and break and destroy what ever they want. Ava thinks she is 4 and tries to jump down all of the stairs at once; this is the girl who trips over nothing, alot. Erica celebrated another anniversary of the day she turned 20, and I worked with a lot of bad people. I got...had...was given the opportunity to observe an autopsy this month. We had another fatal DUI crash and the DA wanted me to observe the autopsy of the passenger who was killed, so I could testify in court the cause of death. I asked the DA why me, and not the Doctor and expert who is going to actully do the autopsy and the DA said, "Doctors don't know how to testify in court." (That was for Aaron) So, I went and now I have to testify that the doctor said this 20 year old girl was killed because of the crash. I like court. It is fun making the Defense Attorney look foolish. "Officer Cannon, How is it that you can remember the traffic stop with my client over 4 months ago and not all of the other traffic stops you have made?" Answer, "I can remember because your client was the only one driving the wrong way on the freeway, in a pursuit, for over 15 miles, who crashed into a 7-11, and ran away from the car, completly naked, in the last 4 months." "Objection your Honor, speculation." "I'll allow it."

October 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello. This is the Adam Cannon family.

We have our own house now. We moved in on my birthday and have been very busy getting things normal. Everything is good and going well with the girls, except we can't agree on a good name for the newest kid coming in December. I think we should name her opps, but Erica is not in agreement. Anyway, we are good.

September 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello.

We are going to be moving into our new home on September 14th. Maja has started school. She is in the second grade and loves it. This is the 5th school she has attended in her short 3 year school career. We are done moving. Ever. It is a good thing everybody falls in love with her as soon as they meet her, otherwise all of the moves would have been really hard on her. I am going to have to do something about her likeability when she gets older, but for now, it has served her well. Annika and Ava continue to destroy Mom and Mels home. We found out we will be having another girl. That makes 4. I don't know what to say about that, except we are done. That is all we have to report.

May 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

We bought a house in Fresno. I am starting at the Fresno CHP office on July 1st, the house will not be finished until mid September...October. We are excited. Maja is still doing great at school. Annika is still sneaky and Ava can crawl at turbo fast. Life is great.

April 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

We are moving to Fresno. Ava can/does climb stairs (7 months old). Annika is very, very sneaky and Maja is apparently one of the smartest kids in her school. She got 100% on both the math and language test that 1st graders have to take in the State of California. I am thinking she takes after her mother. I failed a spelling test in the 3rd grade because I didn't know how to spell "Bano". I still don't know how to spell it. (For those of you who didn't get the joke, Bano is Spanish for bathroom...why was I being tested in Spanish? I went to Nelson.) I got my transfer to Fresno and report on the 1st of July.

March 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello all.

Maya lost her first tooth this month. Annika learned how to ride a bike, and Ava is sick, screams at night and will not let anyone hold her except her Mommie. I can’t think of much else to say except we are all happy.

February 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Ava can now get up onto her hands and knees. She will be crawling very soon. Too soon I say, but these kids never listen to me.

Maja is doing great in school. Annika is doing great being sneaky at home. Erica is going crazy because we now have 3 girls. I work a lot, and I was crazy before we had 3 girls. We took some time off this month to visit family. We went to San Diego and visited the crazies down south. It was fun, and I like the Old Cannons new home. He is old, just ask him. We also visited Fresno. It rained, and Grandma spoiled my girls with jewelry.

January 2009 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

December has come and gone, good riddance. It is cold here in sunny Los Angeles. So cold I have to wear a winter suit when I work at night to avoid freezing to death. This month, I was involved with 2 pursuits, one foot chase, two DUI traffic collisions, both involving injuries to innocent people, 15 traffic collisions where people where hurt badly, one "hit and run" collision where the non-at fault party was put in the hospital, and an uncountable number of traffic citations. Plus I put together a bunch of Princess stuff for Christmas. Other than that, it has been a slow month.

Ava can roll over, and scoot a little. She has learned quickly that Daddy is a sucker for a smile and mommy isn't. Annika and Maja continue to destroy our home, sanity and health. Erica is doing great.

Not much to report. School is going well for Maja. Annika is taking advantage of her big sister being gone during the day by destroying all of Maja's toys. Ava sleeps pretty good during the night. She wakes up only a couple of times to feed. We blessed Ava last Sunday. Maja received an award at school. "citizenship" apparently, she is a good kid. Who knew?

September 2008 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Well Hello.

This month we greeted a new girl into the Cannon family. Ava Cannon was born on 08-18-2008 at approximately 6:20 am. She was and still is 8 lbs, 10 oz. and 21 inches long. She sleeps a lot, poops a lot and eats a lot. She lives the life I could only dream of. Erica is doing fine. Maja started 1st grade and she loves it. I get to take her to school in the morning and as we walk towards class, she is bombarded with kids running up to her and saying "Hi Maja!" and giving her hugs. Apparently, people like her. That is a personality trait she did not inherit from her father. Annika is doing well. Annika likes to point out that "Mommie feeds baby through her booty?" (as she pats her own chest) We haven’t had an in-depth anatomy discussion yet, so I let it slide when she makes a mistake now and then, plus... it is funny. I am towards the end of week one out of three that I have to take as vacation. A vacation filled with dirty diapers, crying, dishes, laundry, cooking, and cleaning. How did I get tricked into this?

August 2008 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

We have had a great month. Erica finished school. Maja and Annika are taking Hula dancing lessons. We bought stuff for the new kid. I still work and the girls still spend my money. I have had many more photo opts this past month but they are all being used as evidence and I think the attorneys would frown on me posting them here. Those sneaky #$%!! are always looking for a reason to throw out a case. We arrested a Sherriff Deputy last night. He told me we could not arrest him because he was a Sherriff. I told him he was wrong. He then told me I was ruining his life. I then explained to him, I was not the one who made him drink and drive. Consequences for his actions... It is a new concept. He then told me to let him go cause' "No one will ever know" I then explained to him, again, that "Everything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law" He did not like that at all. We called his boss to have him come pick up the Deputy at our office. He didn't like that either. It seems no one likes me anymore. This is gonna be lots of fun in court.

July 2008 - Cannon, Adam & Erica & Family

Hello to all, except Aaron.

This is the Cannon, Adam family reporting. This past month has gone by very fast. Maja finished kindergarten and started swim lessons. She likes swim lessons because her teacher is a boy and he is "cute". It is a good thing daddy carries a gun. Annika also started swim lessons and she enjoyed running...walking around on the slides and playing in the water. She disliked the boy teacher and would give him the look of death every time he came around. I like Annikas attitude towards boys and I think I will encourage it. She can like boys all she wants, but as long as she continues to give them the look of death when they approach her, I will have less to worry about. Erica is still taking care of the girls and going to school and still pregnant. I feel sorry for her, her feet have started to swell, the baby has started to dance, and I work a lot. I have had a very busy month at work. Lots of arrests, lots of horrific traffic collisions, lots of horrible people telling me " they didn't do it." and lots of overtime. I thought about attaching a photo, but I decided against it. Maybe I can get a photo of the girls doing something cute for next month’s newsletter. Our baby’s is due in Aug.
